This guy Hugo Schwyzer has been teaching Chick Studies at some college. All of a sudden, he goes to the Twitter while off his meds, and admits he doesn't have the credentials, and is a womanizer.

As if I needed a reminder why I do not tweet or FB or do any of the other mainline social media.  Restricting the spread of proof of how crazy I am to a few fora and a limited list of folks who are subjected on a regular basis to my emailings is more than sufficient for me and for the rest of the world.

Reminds me of a guy I knew years ago. Signed up to take some classes like "Women in Literature" and "Women in Society."  When we asked him why he was taking these kinds of classes as electives, he responded that they were a great place to meet women.  So, he would go to the classes and say the right kinds of things to make the other students think he was a man who valued strong women.  And he would target those who were so dead-set on proving that they were empowered and equal to men in every way that he always found some who were into engaging in casual sex purely for the entertainment value.  He called it "target shooting."

I took Home Ec and Typing in High School (late 70's).  My buddies would give me a hard time about it until I open the door to Typing Classroom and there are 59 girls seated behind typewriters and the 60th one was for me.

I called it shooting fish in barrel.

Played soccer with him.  I was in law school, he was undergrad.  I was a Pointer for undergrad, Fitz, back in the 80's.  Women at WP back then had darker 5:00 shadows than I did.  You know of what I speak.

That was how I remembered it. The women that took those kinds of classes weren't necessarily the ones that were all that desirable. In addition, the few males that took those classes weren't always all that welcome.
