I found this in yesterday's litter box liner. I can't decide if its the worst kind of blind ignorance or if its brilliant satire.

I read that there has been an increase in the number of homeless in Milwaukee ("Milwaukee's developing crisis of homelessness," Crossroads," Sept. 15).
I was thinking that there are a number of houses that have been obtained by the city and county due to the owners not paying their property taxes. Why not have a number of these homeless people move into these houses, and they could paint the houses in return for living in them? This would make the houses more sellable, and when the houses are sold, the people then would move to other houses that would need painting.
Besides having the houses painted, with someone living there, these houses would not be stripped of wiring, pipes and other things by other people. If the county and city want to get these homeless off the streets, they need to consider this idea.
