Should have bought it in the Lower 48 and had it mailed to himself.
Usedta was a time when folks wanting a brick house mailed each brick (first class postage) and had them delivered - a lot less than paying the local freight company to haul from the local brickyard. IIRC the USPS caught on to that scam and stopped allowing all sorts of stuff to be mailed - even to those way out beyond the wilderness, as opposed to some people we know who park themselves in the middle of what passes for civilization up there.
Between the need for AAA coverage for livestock during the summer (mosquito) season and artificial daylight and above-freezing temperatures for the other 9 1/2 months of the year, things are bound to cost more up there.
I love the concept of a General Fund - give away excess state royalties in order to prevent the accumulation of a surplus in the treasury, so that you can continue to tax the peasants Because we all know that chaos will surely follow if we allow the politicians to see that they can still pork barrel a bridge to nowhere without bleeding the citizens.
stay safe.
