Rly? Oathkeepers?
« on: October 01, 2013, 02:27:04 PM »
In 2013 an innernetz veterans organization got delusions of grandeur. These men promptly got their rabblerabblerabble on and started posting silly things on the intertubez underground. Today, still not terribly wanted by the government, they survive as the paramilitary wing of the Tea Party. If you have a problem, if no one else can help, and if you can find them, maybe you can hire the Oathkeeper A-Team in your neighborhood.

I get emails from these people, or at least I think it is these people.  The emails usually have to do with conservative Christian topics. I wonder how I got on their list.

No, I thought up the most annoying catalog. I thought it was for something else like stupid little gifts and other useless stuff. Didn't realize it was a big girls store.

Sorry, MC I don't think you're a big gal.

Seriously? Nobody here is familiar with the Oathkeepers? What rock have y'all been hiding under?

The Oathkeepers have been around for a number of years, and they are the good guys. They are the cops, soldiers, etc., who want their colleagues to remember that when they signed up they swore an oath to protect and defend the Constitution. They are not conservative Christian, and they are not "the paramilitary wing of the Tea party." The predate the Tea party by several years.

We need more of them, in every police department and military unit in the country.

Oh, I'm familiar with them.  While I agree with their basic principles, their execution of said program strikes one as amateurish and almost cultish.  Sadly, while they have the right idea, it is run by a group of 'tards, that never miss an opportunity to miss an opportunity.  They come off as somewhere between birthers and troofers.

I'm an Oathkeeper.

That said,  I agree with Scout.  Good initiative/bad judgement.

Chill, dude.  'Twas a funny.

Today, still wanted by the government, they survive as soldiers of fortune. If you have a problem, if no one else can help, and if you can find them, maybe you can hire the A-Team."

Sound anything like the OP?

Bingo.
