It may just be the image perspective, but I can't see anything that looks like a fence or other substantially high protective barrier around the thing. Don't backpedal too far to return that high lob!

I noticed that, too. I think you're right. I guess the idea is to have errant players fall into that trampoline net around the perimeter.

#5, in the background of one shot is a hotel with 3 towers and a shape across the top of them. It has one of the neatest infinity pools I have ever seen.

The slanted soccer feild cracks me up.

I've played on a few really crappy not level feilds, and it's definatly diffrent, and generally provides a huge advantage to the home team. Of course, that home team probably plays like crap elsewhere.

Buncha pansies.  Y'all have obviously never played small town football.  I'm talking the sub-1000 population communities where the players on the field almost outnumber the spectators.  Ahhh, the good old days...

#3 was also used by an F1 car doing NASCAR style circle burnouts.  Good thing he didn't hook up... the net wouldn't have been of much use.  I am try to imagine falling a thousand feet in the cockpit of the car, and failing.

Oh, I don't know.  If you began the fall I'm pretty certain that success is assured.  I don't see how you could muck it up.

Swiss village side FC Gspon don’t have many claims to fame, but the one they are able to laud is a beauty. Carved into the mountains just outside the resort of Zermatt and above the valley of Saastal, Gspon’s Ottmar Hitzfeld Stadium clocks up a lofty altitude of around about 2,000 metres (6,561 feet) above sea level, making if the highest stadium in Europe.

The Ottmar Hitzfeld is also too high for vehicles to function properly, so all players and staff are forced to arrive by cable car from the nearby village of Stalden.

Just what kind of shitty cars are the Swiss driving? 

ETA: My high school football team used to play at Incline Village, NV, occasionally. It's on the shore of Lake Tahoe, and the field is at 6,564 feet, according to Google Earth. It wasn't carved into the side of a mountain, but it does have a view of the lake. Suck it, Switzerland.
