Is HealthSherpa a 'better ObamaCare website'?

At this time Obamacare is completely non-app for me, but I used to do internal website application development.

One line that got me was "without the lookup, registration, and log-on problems that have dogged...".  My immediate thought was 'why does the obamacare site need to do all that?'

Why do you need to authenticate users against government databases?  Why do you need to validate identity?  Why can't you simply look at the plans available in your area, select the most suitable, then contact the insurer directly, who'll do the validation stuff?

And how, grasshopper, would the government be able to extend and validate its files on you if that were allowed to happen?

stay safe.
If cowardly and dishonorable men sometimes shoot unarmed men with army pistols or guns, the evil must be prevented by the penitentiary and gallows, and not by a general deprivation of a constitutional privilege.

Or another angle: do you realize how many millions, and potentially billions, of dollars in political patronage and cronyism you're asking .gov to sacrifice by letting private insurers handle those functions instead of contracting with our allies to do them? Get real, buddy.

Plus how will the IRS be able to smack you around if they don't have all your banking info?

Would you please think of the Jackboots?

He'll, how many millions did it take just to find out what was in that law?
