I wonder if he'll be buried with his green socks.

RIP
Some days even my lucky rocketship underpants won't help.

Bring me my Broadsword and a clear understanding.
Get up to the roundhouse on the cliff-top standing.
Take women and children and bed them down.
Bless with a hard heart those that stand with me.
Bless the women and children who firm our hands.
Put our backs to the north wind.
Hold fast by the river.
Sweet memories to drive us on,
for the motherland.

Well, duh

I was thinking Peter Sellers.   ;/

Also one of my personal favorites.

I'm pretty sure I owe my name to Lawrence of Arabia as well

This is one of my favorite movies of his

If ye love wealth better than liberty, the tranquility of servitude better than the animating contest of freedom, go home from us in peace. We ask not your counsels or your arms. Crouch down and lick the hands which feed you. May your chains set lightly upon you, and may posterity forget that you were our countrymen.

Mine, too.

"I'm not an actor, I'm a movie star!"

Respectfully, sir, you were an iconic example of both.

ETA: "The Lion in Winter" is going into the DVD player.

Lawrence of Oklahoma  ???

In '61-'62 dad was Stationed at Keesler.
There was a pretty good spike in the number of Lawrence/Laurence's after the movie came out.

That's too bad. He lived a long life for being kind of a bad boy. He was quite the drinker.

Another vote for 'My Favorite Year'.

Woman: You can't come in here, this is for ladies only!
O'Toole: (unzips pants) ...and so is this mum, but every now and then I have to run a little water through it.

RIP sir.

Another awesome line. My favorite from the film.
