Birth rates and divorce rates are increasing -- what about the marriage rate?

Why is this, and what impact will it have if these trends continue?

Supposedly there were lots of sob stories about couples that wanted to divorce but couldn't afford the lawyer/court costs due to the poor state of their economy.  Now that they're a bit better off, off to divorce court they go, so that they can re-ruin themselves.

What about the magical impact of Obamacare, with spouses no longer shackled to the corpse of their union in order to maintain dependent benefits?

From my reading about this in the legal journals, it is more like jointly-owned homes are coming out from underwater on the mortgage, jobs are more secure and people feel more able to afford setting up separate households.

Let's not forget the lawyer glut is driving down rates.
Some days even my lucky rocketship underpants won't help.

Bring me my Broadsword and a clear understanding.
Get up to the roundhouse on the cliff-top standing.
Take women and children and bed them down.
Bless with a hard heart those that stand with me.
Bless the women and children who firm our hands.
Put our backs to the north wind.
Hold fast by the river.
Sweet memories to drive us on,
for the motherland.

I'm of the opinion that there's less marriage because people are wising up.  The impact is an increase in happiness and stronger relationships.

Do you have any data to support this claim?
I wish the Ring had never come to me. I wish none of this had happened.

So do all who live to see such times. But that is not for them to decide. All we have to decide is what to do with the time that is given to us. There are other forces at work in this world, Frodo, besides the will of evil. Bilbo was meant to find the Ring. In which case, you also were meant to have it. And that is an encouraging thought

Only anecdotal . . .

ACA doubles A and B's insurance costs. A and B can't afford it.  Partner A has a $$$ chronic illness. Partner B brings in lot of the money. Divorce drops partner A's income  below the subsidy line so A gets coverage for cheap.  A still lives with B.

 Sounds workable to me.
