Seems fairly benign, although I'm always uneasy about anything the antis are doing. Thoughts?

The third amendment involves consolidated, electronic storage of information on gun purchases that have been denied via the NICS system, according to a rulemaking notice issued in January.

So, they're going to tidy up their de-facto registry and make it more efficient.  Yeah, I'm not concerned about that at all. /sarc

In all fairness, depending on why the purchase was denied those are arguably evidence of a crime (prohibited person trying to buy a gun) so it seems logical that the feds might keep track of it.

Look, I don't like cops and I like fed.gov cops even less, but "we have evidence of a crime being committed so we're going to think about looking at that" is pretty hard to argue with. I think NICS is immoral and a violation of the Constitution, but LEO's are going to enforce the law and them announcing that they intend to do so isn't that shocking.

This.

If we're gonna have the NICS, then it seems reasonable that denial records are something they would keep track of.

I have reached a conclusion regarding every member of this forum.
I no longer respect any of you. I hope the following offends you as much as this thread has offended me:
You are all awful people. I mean this *expletive deleted*ing seriously.
