Interest in the race grew after former New York Mayor Michael Bloomberg's political action committee put up more than $150,000 to try to defeat Clarke and his pro-gun stance. In all, outside groups spent more than $550,000 to try to defeat Clarke in what became a political battle of gun control forces vs. Clarke, who received support from the National Rifle Association and other groups.
Wait, wait, wait.....he can't be pro-gun, he is black and a Democrat. This is a case of why should a position like sheriff political.Does have a good looking wife though.Little irony is that he was appointed by a Republican.
I read the Fox6 news report on the election.http://fox6now.com/2014/08/12/he-lost-in-2010-can-mpd-lt-chris-moews-pull-out-a-victory-over-sheriff-david-clarke-in-2014/Do I have a right to feel miffed about it? The whole piece sounded like campaign literature for Moews, Clark's opponent in the primary.Somebody tell me I'm wrong.Please.Terry
I was always pleasant, friendly and within arm's reach of a gun.
If government is the answer, it must have been a really, really, really stupid question.
Fox is only "pro gun" in comparison to something like MSNBC or Daily Kos. They're still pretty anti, as a whole.
