Is there any inexpensive (free would be nice) software than can take scans of sheet music and "OCR" it to MIDI format?
I'd like to be able to scan pages from the church's loose-leaf pianist hymnal and play them on a computer. That could be really handy when the pianist is out sick. And I'd especially like to be able to mess with the instrumentation, like Hammond electric organ, upright piano, pipe organ, bells, etc.
