All things in context. Keep in mind that the threat exposed by these and other "*expletive deleted*tards"... Is exactly why many computers systems are as secure as they are. The computer security movement wouldn't exist as we know it if people didn't get bitten now and then by bad design practices. Consider that violent personal crime doesn't statically happen often, yet that the threat of it does exist - and repercussions so severe - that many of us carry sidearms in day to day life.
Now, this isn't to excuse their behavior, but I consider them a necessary evil lurking in the shadows, threatening to publicly disgrace any major company who slips up in caring for the data of their customers. Yes, the customers get hurt too if this happens; which is all the more incentive in a free market for a company to *not do that*. People will remember that Target was hacked, and this will negatively affect their business, and therefore their bottom line. Probably more negatively then paying for proper security would have.
