World Economic Forum

The World Economic Forum is going on in Davos right now. Here's one interesting snippet of incongruity:

Greene, who flew his wife, children and two nannies on a private jet plane to Davos for the week, said he’s planning a conference in Palm Beach

Also, the attendees for the "climate change economics" portion of the forum flew in on 1700 private jets.

Yeah. I'll take that crap seriously when the event is hosted in Lagos, rather than Davos. ;/

I know one of the Kennedy clan was pretty visible a few years ago, running around telling people not to waste the planet's resources by driving SUVs . . . when interviewed on the Hannity show and confronted with the fact that while doing so he was flying around in a private jet, he gave a mealy-mouthed answer along the lines of "Well, I'M IMPORTANT!"

The main thing these people say is "YOU little people need to tighten your belts."

And of course the subtext is "You have. I want. GIMMIE!"
