How I spent Sunday
« on: February 09, 2015, 07:54:11 AM »
Great weather here for February. Had to get the boat out, first time I've had opportunity and good weather this year this year.
We hit 79 yesterday, I was thinking about all of you suffering in the great frozen north.... and laughing and laughing....

This is me taken by a fellow sailor.

A few of my friends at the lake, the first one here happens to also be a fellow submariner.

If ye love wealth better than liberty, the tranquility of servitude better than the animating contest of freedom, go home from us in peace. We ask not your counsels or your arms. Crouch down and lick the hands which feed you. May your chains set lightly upon you, and may posterity forget that you were our countrymen.

One of these weekends I have free I am going to have to take you up on your offer to get out on the lake on that thing.

To say the "wind" was light and variable would be an understatement.
And the emblem on Catalina 22's sail is a Razorback. In the owners defense it was on there when he bought the boat.

All this thread needs now is a woman, and someone making a crack about renting.
I promise not to duck.

ahole.  I spent 7 hours at my desk at work on Sunday.

At least I got to go to church in the evening.  I really needed that.

If it makes you feel any better I worked all night Sunday night after most of the day on the water with only a 1 hour half way nap in between.

Oh, you poor little thing, you.  There, there.  May I offer you a hot beverage?

I propose a slight modification on the old saw about fishing:

Works for me  =D

And just for the record,  the proper conciliatory beverage while involved with sailing is either beer or something containing rum.
