It is much more powerful to seek Truth for one's self.  Seeing and hearing that others seem to have found it can be a motivation.  With me, I was drawn because of much error and bad judgment on my part. Confronting one's own errors and bad judgment is a very life altering situation.  Confronting the errors and bad judgment of others is usually hypocrisy.

More nuclear fearmongering.

We have the technical ability to measure very, very small traces of radiation.  Very sensitive instruments.  This is interesting in a scientific sense, but that's about it.

I'd be more worried about weird Japanese trash washing ashore than about the radiation.

Read an article the other week that the safest place to be during & around the time of the tsunami was the power plant.

Do you think there's any danger that Godzilla will wash up in San Francisco Bay?

Now there's an amusing possibility.

Do you have a link?  I know I've been making that statement in comments to various blogs, and other discussions, based on my own research and calculations, so I'd be really interested to see it published and by whom. :)

this radiation scare is vastly over stated, as are virtually all liberal media crises.

I am seriously disappointed that we haven't seen Godzilla yet.

Crouch down and lick the hands which feed you. May your chains set lightly upon you, and may posterity forget that you were our countrymen.

This.

And many, I guess most people have no understanding of radiation dosage. And don't even understand what they are in a panic about.

And that lack of understanding is not related to education level or any one demographic. In fact some of the worst chicken lils are highly educated

Having spent a number of years living and working closer to the core of a nuclear reactor than most people will ever be I did learn a few things about radiation dosages. One bit of trivia is that a day on the beach will cause enough of a spike in your TLD to get you some extra monitoring. Best to leave it in the car.
