Having passed all five gun bills in MN it's time to help my neighbors to the south. Things are pretty touch and go down there.
The Iowa House has passed the omnibus firearms bill and tacked it onto the state appropriations omnibus bill. This will force the Senate to act on it. Many Senators would vote pro gun if pressed but would like to merely state that they support gun rights without having to take a controversial stand. So far the Senate has refused to address gun rights despite a lot of effort from the

It is amazing how the story and tactics is almost exactly the same in these two states.
We even have the same scam group operating in both states. Iowa Gun Owners and Minnesota Gun Rights are NAGR affiliates run out of an Iowa office by the Dorr brothers. Their group exists solely to swindle money from people, often while damaging the cause through their aggressive and woefully ignorant email and phony petition fundraising campaigns.
