Less than a minute and a half in, I think they said it's illegal to take into the TSA checkpoints/secured areas of the airport no less than four times.

Honestly, I think they're trying to get a message across, and I don't object to it.

Don't quite understand his reason for carrying a long gun.  A handgun, sure.  But a comparatively bulky and unwieldy long gun doesn't make a lot of sense unless you really expect to repel boarders at the airport coffee shop.
He's probably just shooting for his little bit of fame (NPI).

True, but people don't need to carry laptops into coffee shops either when a cellphone can do 90% of what needs to be done.  ;)

Locally there was a guy carrying a shotgun on a sling as a form of protest. There were complaints and police calls... the cops walked up to the guy and told him "Hi, we are perfectly ok with what you are doing, carry on" or something to that effect. It made the news, but more as a non-news sort of news. The way the cops handled it was perfect- they didn't harass him and cause righteous indignation in others, and really undercut any reason for the guy to be out there protesting with his shotgun.

As was stated, it's Atlanta.  Only thing I can fault the guy for is not following Sherman's lead.

Yep, ATL police were stepping over the line with their policies vs a vis even CHLs for some years.  They were asking for this sort of thing.  If they had just gone about their business leaving law-abiding CHL folk alone, this like as not would not have occurred.
