Above someone said this is a frequent problem, with polic dog handlers treating their dogs as equipment rather than partners.

That's surprising to me, given what I know of military working dogs and their handlers, and the bond that bomb dogs in the army form with their handlers. Very strange

I don't doubt it. But i can't imagine NOT forming a deep bond with a dog that helps keep you alive.

*expletive deleted*ed up cop. Hope his career is over

Cop in Florida recently left two dogs in a hot carovernight and killed them. http://www.wtsp.com/story/news/local/florida/2015/05/28/police-dog-dead-suv/28057671/

Searching for that story found a number of others.

More accurately he worked all nite left em in car when he got home
It is much more powerful to seek Truth for one's self.  Seeing and hearing that others seem to have found it can be a motivation.  With me, I was drawn because of much error and bad judgment on my part. Confronting one's own errors and bad judgment is a very life altering situation.  Confronting the errors and bad judgment of others is usually hypocrisy.

He's possessed by a dog's ghost!
I wish the Ring had never come to me. I wish none of this had happened.

So do all who live to see such times. But that is not for them to decide. All we have to decide is what to do with the time that is given to us. There are other forces at work in this world, Frodo, besides the will of evil. Bilbo was meant to find the Ring. In which case, you also were meant to have it. And that is an encouraging thought

Amazing how one tiny typo changed everything.

well, if a dog is going to be a ghost, CSD is probably a good choice to possess. CSD loves dogs, dog would draw little attention from bad typing skills, and CSD could help him find the best ways to destroy his murderers.

I made a circuit of working for canine cops. Most of em were as bad as me liking dogs except they would send their dogs into a situation knowing they could be harmed. I would find that hard. But there was a small subset that went canine to get away from regular police work.
