Given what scumbags CPS types can be it's a wonder this doesn't happen more often.
Not that I condone assassinating gov employees.

Here's a podcast featuring a former CPS guy who explains how evil the system is. I already knew that of course but it's nice to have confirmation from the inside. And it's so weird, I just listened to the podcast a couple of days ago and then this happens.

Their reporter needs remedial journalism classes. The story structure was awful. Read like strung-together clickbait headlines.

Also... "High caliber hunting rifle"? Really? As opposed to what, a low caliber one?

I'm witholding blanket comment on CPS because most folks I know in that field are conscientious and caring. Unfortunately I also know a few who are aggressively protective, ethics and reason be damned.

The risk of some sort of assault on a CPS worker has always been there - mostly from the adults they deal with but also from the children.

Back before politically correct was a thing there were some CPS agencies (usually in big cities) that allowed their workers to be armed.  There was a time or two when I wished I could have been armed instead of rapidly backing down the driveway and headed to somewhere to meet the local deputy who was going to stand behind me when I went back.  (I would much have preferred he stood in front of me - he was bigger and had body armor.)

This is a sad situation all around.  Probably the worst part is what the 9-year old now thinks of her mother regardless of the reason(s) she was removed from mom's custody.

In that podcast I linked the former CPS guy points out that, statistically, kids are better off staying in a bad home than being placed in foster care by a wide margin.

Which means that CPS makes things worse.

Looks like the shooter killed her own family members as well.


Looks like she blamed them for calling the DCF in the first place.
