HP laptop question
« on: September 11, 2015, 08:34:50 PM »
Hoping someone a bit more savvy than me has an answer.

Mom just got a shiny new laptop,  high end,  all the bells and whistles.  Came with 8 pro.  She did the update to 10, and now it runs like *expletive deleted*it.  She's familiar with 7, and I have a copy of 7 pro I'd like to install.  All that said,  what's the best way to start fresh?  DBan?  Tried booting from the 7 disk,  but the HP propriatary crap is giving me grief.

Thoughts?  I don't want to go nuts if there's a better way.

There is no fixing stupid. But, you can line it up in front of a wall and offer it a last smoke.

Still hangs on boot,  anyone have a way around that?  Common problem is hardware related,  this thing  being new,  that shouldn't be a factor.

I no longer respect any of you. I hope the following offends you as much as this thread has offended me:
You are all awful people. I mean this *expletive deleted*ing seriously.

Now your mother can cyberstalk you and your friends on FB, and e-mail you 50 bazillion* cute kitten pictures, quotes, and religious/motivational posters each day, along with updates of how our ex-girlfriends that she liked are making millions on Wall Street, and the ones she didn't like were admitted to the local hospital after a heroin overdose behind the local strip club.  Plus pictures of obscure family members that you only met once in your life and you were only 2 at the time, so you should remember them.  And then the news articles about all your brothers and sisters and cousins that are doing better then you financially, while also saving whales, polar bears, pandas, small African nations and orphans.

May god have mercy on your soul

Bring me my Broadsword and a clear understanding.
Get up to the roundhouse on the cliff-top standing.
Take women and children and bed them down.
Bless with a hard heart those that stand with me.
Bless the women and children who firm our hands.
Put our backs to the north wind.
Hold fast by the river.
Sweet memories to drive us on,
for the motherland.

NEARLY every single thing you posted is accurate,  but for on salient point.  This guy has no BookFace  >:D

I loath social media,  and my brief experience with it just exposed me to every goddamned idiot that I refuse to associate with in real life.  Pass.

I'm content as an antisocial curmudgeon.

The APS ideal

Trying really hard :D

Fer'instance:  I can deal with my airhead retard sister on holidays,  even if it involves biting my tongue.  I am incapable of NOT ridiculing her mercilessly on Facebook.  Post your emotional vomit on my "wall" and see what happens.

Hence why I have no facebook.  That,  and IDGARA.

Then you're a fraud. A true antisocial curmudgeon is never content.
