But there are hormonal Birth Control options that, as a side effect (or feature depending) stop menstruation. Some, like
Depo Provera last about 3 months at a time. Others, like
Mirena would be more appropriate for a Mars mission. Seems easier than dealing with zero-G flow.
Also, when looking at longer missions, it could help stop the other side effect of bored men and women in close proximity.
