Can the liberties of a nation be thought secure when we have removed their only firm basis, a conviction in the minds of the people that these liberties are the gift of God?

For a while there, I could find more variants of .375H&H on the shelves than .22LR.

Given the rising costs of shooting and new entrants, and more females, I've no doubt that the three increase the consumption/demand of .22LR more than many other cartridges.

I did my part...
My kids went through a 550rd value pack that I had sitting in a drawer for the last 10 years yesterday. I forgot how fast a 10/22 can eat those up.
Son burned through 50 .243 handloads practicing shooting from shooting sticks... He was doing pretty darn good by the end of it.

I am still convinced that .gov and the industry are in cahoots to stop or limit manfacture and sale of .22 LR.

........and it's not just .22 LR either.   All the apocryphal and anecdotal storiesabout the shortages of ammo can't be all wrong.  I was in two different Bass Pro shops this past week, and two different Gander Mountain stores. I checked three different LGS, and not a one of them had .22 LR,  124 grain 9MM HP, 230 grain Federal .45 ACP Hydrashock.
Try finding your go to powder, primer or bullets.  They are just not out there.

I'm convinced it has more to do with the profit margin on .22 rimfire.

Hydra-Shok is bound to go away at some point, with so many better projectile designs out there. Maybe it's a good time to try out a new self-defense load.
