So, apparently, crime is caused by people with smartphones who dare film police. You see, police are mythical creatures, like the tooth-fairy. If you try to watch them, they can't or won't do their jobs.

Viral cellphone video bad.  Police body cameras good.

Next thing I know someone will be telling me that moving cops out of bus driver suits into full field combat regalia has had no influence on how the public sees the cops or the cops see themself.
