Hawkmoon - Never underestimate another person's capacity for stupidity. Any time you think someone can't possibly be that dumb ... they'll prove you wrong.
Viking - The problem with the modern world is that there aren't really any predators eating stupid people.
As someone that carries a multitool daily I don't know whether to shake my head at some people, or bow to the marketing genius. I admit to being a little covetous of that knife blade.http://www.amazon.com/dp/B00MNSQRJU?psc=1

I have never understood the appeal of Damascus blades.I also wonder if it's real Damascus steel, or the current chemical-applied Damascus-like treatment.
Pedant alarm. You was warned. It is probably real pattern welded steel. It offers no advantages over one piece of good steel except purty. "Real" damascus or wootz is a thing that only a few modern smiths think they have authentically recreated. Pretty much was a primitive crucible steel that came out with steel and some carbides bound in a soft iron matrix.Which would have yielded a very effective cutting edge(micro sawtooth of sorts)for soft things. Like Christians. How did it become legendary? Put it out there in a world of iron or worse weapons. Better yet, it is the hottest thing available so you only give it to your most tactical 7th century dudes. They were going to kick everyone's butt anyway, but now we have a tactical sword to blame it on.
