Went to the Mullin Auto Museum today. PICTURES!
« on: November 22, 2015, 01:57:30 AM »
It's up in Oxnard, CA. If you watch Jay Leno's Garage on YouTube you might of seen the place, he's looked at a few cars from there. It is awesome. Took the tour and then walked around getting more pictures. It's not even just a car museum, it's got furniture and sculptures designed by one of the Bugatti's, and also art deco pieces. They rotate what they have on display. They take them out for driving, and racing, sometimes. Two of the cars that Jay Leno looked at weren't there, one of them is at the Petersen Automotive Museum in LA, which I have a ticket to go to during their second day of the grand opening on the 6th.  =D My personal favorites has got to be the purpose built race cars, someday, someday...

You need to go to Lincoln, Nebraska sometime and find your way to the museum owned and run by Speedway Enterprises. I am not a huge museum guy and don't particularly care for Speedway as a business but have gotten the inside tour and you will see things there that are nowhere else. Especially oddball, one-off old motors.

Amazing design back in the day.  It seems that with the fuel efficiency, safety standards and emission standards of today, so many of the cars look practically identical.

Beautiful cars.

I'm fortunate to live less than an hour from the LeMay museum, which is another worthy destination for the car lover.

The one that's all rusty and dirty -- I assume there's a story there.

I read the title as 'Muslim Auto Museum' and was expecting clapped out toyota Hiluxes with machine guns mounted on the bed.

So what did you get in exchange for your soul?
