the Slavs have limited gene pool size for such a large population, so they, like the Chinese, are limited in how many different faces they get. The Putin face is one of those faces. So like the others in the repertoire, it needs to be recycled. If the Slavs and the Chinese didn’t recycle these faces on a regular basis, they would run out of faces.
