Even Middle-Easterners think Obama's a Muslim

The rumor goes back as far as the 2008 election, when state-run Iranian papers published articles that suggested Obama was a Shi'ite Muslim. There were even celebrations in Iraq's Shi'ite strongholds when he won the election in November 2008.

"Many people felt, Now we have a brother in the White House," one Sadr City local told Time magazine shortly after.

I wish he would just go ahead and convert to Islam. At least then the HE'S A MOOSLIM! talk would actually make sense.

As a youth in Indonesia he did attend Muslim schools; I think that is where he picked up whatever ...."affinity" he has for Islam.
I always thought the rumours of him being a Muslim were somewhat of a hoot, since his 20 year association with the Reverend Wright of "KKK of America / America's chickens come home to roost" fame would seem more than adequate fodder to denigrate Obama.

I heard a while back that Reverend Wright is "former" Muslim and has been associated with black Muslim groups/leaders. 

It is all a curiosity now as it is nearly too late to make any difference.  Same with his birth certificate.

Even as much as I detest Obama I'm willing to chalk that one up to a slip of the tongue.

However, if he were in fact a Muslim I can't think of much that he would do differently in regards to the middle east.

I think barack hussein has been a muslim for most of his life.  Muslim school in Indonesia, trips to Pakistan with his paki boyfriend as a college yute, self identifies with islam in his books, and praises his kenyan father's faith.
