Repent your misdeeds, all ye sinners, for we have entered the last days and the end of the world is nigh.
How do I know this? I was in a Staples "office superstore" this afternoon, checking out inexpensive all-in-one printers (did you know you can buy a wireless, all-in-one machine for $59? The pace of technology continues to amaze me), and then I stopped in a Wal-Mart next door to compare pricing. As always, I wandered past the ammo cabinet. I was almost past it when I did a double take: There on the top shelf was a pile of 100-round boxes of Winchester .22 LR ammunition. $8.47 each.
Not a great deal, but not bad -- and this is the first .22 ammo I've seen in any Wal-Mart for at least two years. I was going to take just two boxes, to leave some for the next guy, but there were a few more behind what could be seen from the aisle, so I decided to take my full allotment of three boxes. Then the Sporting Goods manager commented that he had two more cases sitting in the back.
Truly, we are in the end times.
