The real problem, aside from the fact that this is another sign of the wussification of America, is:
1. You will get cops dispatched on this crap, which will take them away from other duties, some of which might be a bit more important than Susie the Co-ed got her feelings hurt.
2. After while of the cops doing nothing, and people complaining to supervisors/I.A. about the lack of action, cops will start taking reports and sending them to prosecutors, figuring it is easier to let the prosecutor make a decision about charges than it is to deal with an I.A. report.
3. Prosecutors will at first reject such cases, but after enough complaints get filed against the prosecutors, they will decide it is easier to just file a charge than it is to deal with complaints about them rejecting cases because of alleged sexism, racism, homophobia, trannyphobia, etc.
4. Judges may throw out the cases at the start, but appellate courts will send them back telling the trial judges to let juries make the decision (which the appellate courts tend to do far too often, IMHO).
5. You'll then add to the docket a bunch of cases that never should have had a report taken in the first place, which will result in a bunch of plea bargains out of fear of a possible guilty verdict from a jury of people who don't see this as a problem, or a bunch of trials held in cases that never should have been charged in the first place.
God help us all. (Sorry if that reference to a deity of my choice offended anyone. Please don't call the cops on me.)
