The Nebraska Senate is debating a bill to add faaaaabulousness to their anti-discrimination statute. One of those in favor, Democrat Ernie Chambers, had this to say:

It's very easy for those who want to discriminate, demean and degrade other people to say, 'Let's discuss this in a very civilized manner. Don't anybody get upset. This is the most disgusting discussion I have heard. The most insulting, degrading, demeaning one I've heard.

Senator Chambers also said this:

"If I was up here I'd probably pick these books up and start throwing them around," he said. "If I was a white guy, I'd go get my semiautomatic weapon and come down here and mow everybody down."

He'd fit in really well at the St Louis Board of Aldermen.

So he's either implying that he can't buy a weapon because he's a felon because he's black, or he's just a coward.
More evidence that the average democrat is mentally ill.

I guess he doesn't know about the reporter shooting in VA last year. That shooter was black, gay and a democrat.

I thought Ol' Ernie got term-limited out a few years back.  In fact, IIRC, him being term-limited out is what enable Nebraska's CCW law to pass.   (He had always been able to bottle it up in years past.)


Although it would not surprise me if he had been out for a term, and the walking brain-stems of his Omaha district voted him back in....
