Iran has a meh grade industrial espionage capacity. Of course, even Joe Random hacker gets lucky time to time.
For the lolz, Americ'a counterintel in-order list of industrial espionage or national security spying is China, Israel, Russia, France (no really), Taiwan and then everyone else. You sometimes get weird countries like India or Argentina or Iran, but it's just mid level countries trying to play in the big leagues. Russia obviously used to be head of the list, and still has the highest level of individual skill. We, of course, spy and hack our way into major world infrastructure as well. We're good on hacking, bad on pretty much anything else. If it wasn't for having north of a hundred billion dollars in national security spending, we'd be below Taiwan in terms of individual skill and craft trade. Most of that hundred billion dollars is spent on bureaucracy.
