Sanders Quits
« on: July 27, 2016, 11:41:06 PM »
The Democratic Party, that is.

http://heatst.com/politics/bernie-sanders-leaves-the-democratic-party/

I wonder what this does to the election? At a guess, I'm hopeful that it will cause some of his supporters to either not vote at all (because they won't vote for Hillary), or maybe even vote for Trump (just because he's not Hillary).

We certainly do live in interesting times.

Is it too late for him to run on another partys' ticket?

Recently saw a meme on Facebook with him giving support and Hillary saying something about him not dying from something.
"so I ended up getting the above because I didn't want to make a whole production of sticking something between my knees and cranking. To me, the cranking on mine is pretty effortless, at least on the coarse setting. Maybe if someone has arthritis or something, it would be more difficult for them." - Ben

A lot of his supporters are going towards the Green Party candidate, Jill Stein.

We could very easily see the next President elected with less than 40% of the popular vote.  Third party candidates could just pull enough together to get past 25-30% of the vote.  Going to be the most interesting election in my lifetime.

Jokes aside for a minute, can you blame him?  He was winning the nomination, and the superdeligates took it away from him.  Then, the emails break this week and show that the party itself was out to make sure he never got the nomination.  I don't blame him a bit, and wouldn't blame him if he did everything possible to take out Hillary now.

With our luck she and he would both die before the election, the Dems keep her on the ticket and "we" elect a dead woman as President.

That might actually be the best option.  No bills get signed until she's reanimated.

Just FYI, he endorsed her at the convention.

YouTube just played that Sanders, anti-Clinton ad again, about the Wall Street speeches. I guess that must be some PAC that hasn't been re-educated yet.

My understanding is that Sanders has always been an Independent. He only declared "Democrat" so that he could run with the big dogs in the primary. I'm not sure he ever really bonded with them, so he's just going back to what he was before the whole circus.

Bernie has always been far left of any dhimmicrat.  He ran, he lost, he gave up all his principles and endorsed hillary, then took his marbles and went home.

Yeah, this.  He was always listed as n "I" after his name, when he was actually always an "S".

It still seems strange, since he threw away his independent cred, by endorsing Clinton.

Even Bernie likes to eat.  Can't eat when you're dead or broke.  I'm sure Clinton offered him a bribe kickback reward job if he would endorse her.
