And, in passing, I have to give credit to whoever made up that graph. It's a graph that actually starts at zero, so it's a proper visual representation of the data. They could have chopped it off at the 50,000,000 mark at the bottom and made it look much more impressive, but that wouldn't have been honest. Too often these days, graphs are skewed in that way.

Yeah, we were taught to show a distinct break in the ordinates or abscissa, or to use log scales when appropriate.  You know what the climate graphs look like if the ordinate starts at zero?
