I remember a UFC thread popping up back around Hughes/Gracie, so what's everyone else think of this weekend's lineup? UFC tonight with Ortiz/Lidell, and Pride (Fedor/Hunt) and IFL (Newton/Gracie) both coming in tomorrow night. Picks? General excitement?
I've got Ortiz over Lidell, but the rest of the fights on that card (especially the televised ones) don't do much for me. Would be good for Arlovski to win as it'd set up a nice progression for Cro Cop on his way to taking that belt from Tim "Zzzzzzzz" Sylvia. Pride's got a nicer lineup in my opinion with a major sleeper fight in Hansen/Aoki, Gomi rematching Ishida, and all of the heavyweight fights.
The IFL show got some mixed reviews, especially for the superfight, but I enjoy their productions and I'm hoping FSN will replay it later in the week.
