Both sites work for me.  You probably have some spyware that's sending your webpage requests to these sites instead of your intended targets.

nope, it appears to be affecting all the hardware inside my companys firewall

an outside contractor is seeing it on just the nytimes site

clean at home on the DSL

it appears to be a windows infection that routes www.cnn.com
to some machine acting as a webserver
