$600 Shopping Bag

Celine has launched a new product line of shopping bags. Clear plastic bag with some writing on it, $590. This kind of thing always amazes me. People can do whatever they want with their money, but this is literally an item that with manufacturing, marketing etc. all thrown in, can't possibly cost more than $1-$2 to produce.

On the bright side, some intrepid copycats will be able to buy 10,000 plastic shopping bags from China for $100, copy the writing that's on the Celine bag, and sell the knockoffs on some NYC street for $200 a pop.

Oh, come on. Devonai has a certain panache to it. Nobody has any idea what ethnicity or nationality it comes from. As long as it sounds "foreign," it'll sell.

I created it in 1995 for a role playing game.  It was a combination of Dave and Adonai.  No hidden meaning was intended, I just thought it was cool.

And you don't think that most of the other "names" aren't the same?  I mean, look at car models.  Unique enough to be trademarked, not offensive in any major language, etc...
