Dems to run on abolishing ICE?
« on: March 11, 2018, 07:11:57 PM »
It's an article from the Daily Caller, I don't know how reliable they are.

Some questions:

If true, who exactly is this supposed to bring over to their side?

They already have all those voters, legal and illegal and how is this supposed to move the undecideds? If this was a huge issue for those folks they would already be in the Dem camp. And it may just push folks into Camp Trump.

I could see this losing them support among blacks as blacks and illegals are often in competition for the same low-level jobs. So how to get the word out that the Dems are selling out blacks on this issue?

How do we ensure that the Dems run on this and some hard-core gun control? Because those are just about the two worst things they could choose to charge up the hill with.

Also they want to raise taxes.

Quote
Their plan calls for jacking up the corporate tax rate from 21 percent to 25 percent, raising the top income tax bracket back to 39.6 percent, and scrapping changes that the Republican tax bill made to the Alternative Minimum Tax and the Estate Tax. This, Democrats claim, will add up to a little more than $1 trillion in tax increases over 10 years.

Now this might be more of a mid-term thing but I could see them still going on it in 2020. They are that out of touch.

Have Trump tweet about it all year?

That is exactly what they want.  Political borders are so last century.  The leftists want to be just like the E.U.

I'll modify that to say that they want open borders, but they'll be just fine with "one way open" borders. Just like they now don't care at all about how strict Canada and Mexico are about letting people from our side through.

Their end gambit is total control of the whole country forever.  And that's what they believe these immigrant votes will give them.  And they are probably right.

Heard on the news this morning that we now have a new reason that ICE is hyperturbo oppressive and should be banned.

Apparently a husband and wife team of illegals took off in a car to avoid an ICE raid.

While traveling at a high rate of speed the driver veered off the road, flipped, and hit a pole, killing both.

They leave behind 6 children.

Those ICE cowards...

How much budget savings can be had by ending ICE?

Folks want smaller government, let's start there.

Illegal aliens don't make the gov smaller.  They make it much much bigger.  They love free gov services.

5.7 billion a year.  I would rather cut services else wheres. Border security and control is one of the fedgov's most basic functions

I am seriously concerned about how much the Democrats seem to pander to and rely on the illegal alien vote. It's like "Oh, so Americans won't vote for us? FINE, we'll bring in foreigners that will"

Beat me to it. These people believe they are doing God's work (except that they both hate and don't believe in God) so anything they do is justified. BY ANY MEANS NECESSARY- they truly believe that.

The number of ways to cut govt spending without hurting our security are almost too numerous to count.

They aren't too numerous to count. They are just too time consuming.

But the answer is, literally, "Trillions of ways"

Unfortunately, if the budget was actually going be balanced, the first three ways would going to be "social security, medicare and medicaid."  So it won't.
