I wasn't sure what the guy reported.  Was he reporting the molestation or the father hitting him?  The story implies that latter, but I don't know.

That would imply majority support or indifference.  I can't imagine things changing to that extent in that short of time.  Or while parents can still own guns.

You forget that in the major population centers of the U.S. a very large percentage of the population thinks owning guns in eeeeeevil. The MSM is doing its best to see that particular cancer spread.

Also in fairness, what happened in the OP is not just a German cultural thing. A father/husband etc. being arrested for that has happened often enough in the US as well. I'm sure we have several instances as topics right here on APS, and probably most all of them in big cities.
