Looks like Menendez is in trouble again.  This time with the electorate.  This race, which should be a slam dunk for just about any D in heavily D state in what is supposed to be a D year, is anything but.

Given Menendez' prior legal troubles, his opponent, Hugin, is a wealthy CEO who has been self-funding his campaign.  Which means he's way outspent Menendez especially with ad buys slamming Menendez for his ethical troubles.  Especially, with the underage prostitute charge.  Which in the age of #Metoo, is scoring for points.

Now, to pile onto to that problem, comes news that the D Governor has ignored a problem with sexual harassment/assault with in his own administration.  Further complicating things for Menendez as parallels are drawn, and the taint of one scandal touches all members of that party.  

Interesting times, indeed.

I didn't see the article, only a vague headline, but it seems the R running for governor of Cali is surging in the polls.

It isn't beyond the realm of possibility for things to shift a little there if a few % of minorities change parties or stay home (and the voter fraud machine is not fully engaged).  Okay, it is long odds.
