Okay, so what do you do with forwards?
Me, I despise them.....most are touchy-feely chain letters that only deserve to be shipped right to the trash bin.  Sometimes I send them to politicians with the caption "you're not the only one full of hot air"....
I rarely even read them, and often just select them for elimination.
I get a few good jokes from one or two people, but I rarely pass them on.

Mostly I delete them.

Sometimes I send back a snopes page debunking them.

Obnoxious ones sometimes get something 10x more obnoxious in return.

I have a well-used delete button. Wink

If someone is really obnoxious with forwarding junk, I politely tell them to knock it off.

I did that with a niece; told her that I wanted to hear about HER life, not chain letters, etc.  It lasted about a month (that is, she sent nothing at all, which, in retrospect, may well have been a statement about her life) then the spam parade started up again.  Sent her an email stating that if she couldn't send anything with personal content, I would block her address.  Got back a response saying that I had stabbed her in the heart and how could I do such a dastardly thing to her.  Haven't hear from her since.  We're probably both happier.

I'm sending a link to this thread to all my friends  laugh

I had to do that to an aunt of mine and an acquaintance.  My aunt hasn't really stopped.

She sends me the ones about how courageous the troops are, or how humble and pious and brave George W is, etc.  Ya know, the kind with the bald eagles and the patriotic music.  Barf smiley.

Most get deleted after the first line.  Anything really annoying (send this to 10 people etc) gets sent back to the person the amount of times I was supposed to forward it.  They generally get the idea after that.

I mark them as spam.

My friends won't send them to me.

I had a buddy that always did.  He used to write these feel good stories.  I marked his address as spam.

Then he sent me a real email and I never got it.

He showed up on my doorstep one morning to go hiking (after an 1 1/2 hour drive to my house).  I was on my way out.

He was pissed- I sent you an email that I was coming to go hiking.

I told him I never got it, that I had blocked his email address because of the crap he was sending me.

Funny, he changed email addresses, and I have never got that crap from him again.

He showed up at your house without confirming that you wanted to go hiking?

I guess his email was something to thew effect of "I'll be up early Saturday to go hiking.  Let me know if this is not good for you".

He was an old drinking buddy, and we have since grown apart...
