Oh, sweet Merciful . . . finally *tear of joy*  We've waited soooo long, year after year having our guts pushed into our throats.

How long we were spit upon by the East Coast Eloi media.  Year after year of 3 and 13.  Laughed at during the '80s and early '90s on ESPN, HBO, etc.  In 1995 when the Colts made it to the AFC championship, they picked against us with a laugh on HBO.  The Indianapolis Colts are even memorialized in a Tom Clancy novel as "doormats."

How they mocked us before this Super Bowl.  How they spit on us in New York City and Chicago.

I'll never forget how they spit on us and I vow to devote the next year reminding those scumbags that the Colts are world champions. grin

Peyton Manning for mayor!  Well, after he receives an apology from the sports media scum and enters the Hall of Fame. police

Ah, modern America.  Where your town might as well be a dump for radioactive slag - until your local boys club wins a few games.  Then - and only then - is it worth something.

Bad Rex, bad play calling and bad defense.

Good special teams play.

All adds up to Colts victory, congrads Colts fans.

11M, that's how the East Coast Media deems it.  And now I want to ensure we stuff it down their throats and work the jaws.

Go, the Bears have every reason to be proud.  They played hard and were a worth foe.  Wasn't it great to have a true game rather than a blowout?

It could have easily gone the other way!  Dungy had a better game plane than Lovie, i.e. Dungy guessed better.

The East Coast Eloi media have secretly horded them all so as to keep you poor Colts fans without the means to truly celebrate your team winning the Super Bowl after so many years of being spat upon and kicked around, etc.

PS  I am so happy that Peyton Manning is not going to be the next Dan Marino.

It was a very interesting game.  The numbers (offensive plays, posession time, yards) shows a much more one sided game than the score does.  It was certainly an entertaining game.  When Chicago scored on the opening kickoff, I was worried we were gonna see a blow-out.  Then the back to back fumbles throughout the game.

The operative word at my GF's parents house was "weird......"

Would you believe...

I shot an 1800 match during most of the game? My wife says, "They're going to make you shoot on Superbowl Sunday? Are you SURE you're shooting this weekend." I said, "Oh, they're shooting alright."  laugh

I caught the end of the third and up to the interception, then I knew Da Bears were done so I went and, well, I'll leave that part out.

I shot a 849/900 with my .22 and a 845/900 with my .45 at 25 yds.

No, I think he means world champions.  Name a foreign football team that could beat the Colts.  C'mon, I dare you.

If there were foreign teams that could compete at this level then you might have a point.  There aren't.  Until there are, it's fair to say that whoever wins the Superbowl is the world champion football team.

GO COLTS!  WORLD CHAMPIONS!!!

Some of us are happy that the home team one the big game.  I don't expect everyone to want to celebrate, but at least be civil enough not to mock those of us that do.

Lighten up or shut up.  If you have to be a grump, be it somewhere else.

The game was over on the first kickoff, when it was run back for a touchdown.

The Bears decided that they'd won it, and quit.

If the Colts had not let the Bears get ahead, the East Coast media would be holding their skirts and jumping up and down saying "boo hoo hoo, the Colts can't win if they are down."  Letting da Bearz get up first just added spice to the steaming hot cup of STFU that Dungy served the media.

Listening to Chicago sports radio yesterday was wonderful  They yapped about the opening kick return and then went straight to which commerical they liked best.  Ahhh, nothing spells relief like a big hot cup of STFU! police
