it's probably on your desktop, which tends to be where it defaults to as far as location.
You could also try searching for a file called CDNN2006-5.

not as far as I can tell, if it was on my desk top wouldn't it be right in front of me?
I don't see it...how do I look in my files?

Did you view it or download it?  If you just viewed, it might still be in your Temporary Internet Files.  Sort by file size to bring it to the top.  I assume you are using IE.

2007-1 is out BTW.

If you are using Windows you can't just click on the link to download it, you have to "right click" and "save as" (like it says right above the link).  Then you can tell the file where to save to, I keep them in the "Received Files" folder on my machine.

Mine doesn't.  I just have to reopen the saved file.  Are you sure the system isn't just viewing the file from the net rather than copying it to the drive?

Maybe try a "save as" to a known folder just to be sure.

pdfs can be displayed using the acrobat browser plug in

they cache to the browsers temporary memory

you can also set your browsers pdf preferences to always download the file
then display it using Acrobat Reader

You should have a "search" function (or "find files"?) under the "start" button.   Tell it to look for all files that contain the letters "CDNN" (no quotes).  It will list them, along with what directory (aka "folder") they're in.
