Archer Season 10

Archer season 10 just started. I'd been a little disappointed with the last couple of seasons (though still watched them). This one might be better though. From the first episode, it looks like they're doing some kind of sci-fi compilation. I've already caught stuff from Alien, Guardians of the Galaxy, The Day the Earth Stood Still, and Firefly.

I got turned off by the coma twist.  Didn't care for the 1930's era season and missed the following season entirely.  I assume he's still in a coma for this to be a sci-fi random episode compilation?

I think they've just completely deleted the coma as a reason and are just doing each season in a different setting. I do miss the old days of ISIS though.

I gave up on it when I started to have to pay to see it on streaming. FX+ or something like that which required a subscription.

I was actually buying the seasons on Amazon, but YoutubeTV has FXX, and I'm still on my month test run with them, so am getting it that way this season.

I forgot about it starting, but my DVR picked it up so I watched it last night.

So far I'm... ambivalent.

I picked up on a bunch of the SciFi classic references, but I didn't pick up on anything from The Day the Earth Stood Still. I'm going to have to go back and watch it again.

I read an article after I posted and I apparently missed a number of other references, or else they're coming up later in the season.

Actually, you are correct. I just went to IMDB and saw that the episode was called "Bort the Garj". I swore I heard "Gort".  :laugh:
