Unfortunately an all-too-true sign of the times.

Tim Hagel, Chief of Police in Thousand Oaks, CA, managed to get a fundraiser for a fallen fellow officer cancelled because Republicans were invited. Not only that, all the existing donations were returned rather than forwarded to the officer's family.

Don't worry about trying to look him up on Facebook. He's sanitized and locked his page. Apparently the Thousand Oaks Police Dept facebook page has also been taken offline.

If Repubs and non-affiliated conservatives had any brains, they'd hold their own fundraiser and wag it in Hagel's smug face.

And they're the ones saying conservatives are dividing the country.
If ye love wealth better than liberty, the tranquility of servitude better than the animating contest of freedom, go home from us in peace. We ask not your counsels or your arms. Crouch down and lick the hands which feed you. May your chains set lightly upon you, and may posterity forget that you were our countrymen.

Wow. Goes to show how far CA is sliding. I grew up down the road from Thousand Oaks and it was always known as the conservative part of the county.

Brad

Some of you know I've been a registered "Family Democrat" for many decades, just 'cause... you know... family.  Doesn't affect the way I vote at all, but with the outrageous behavior of all the Democratic Lemmings and the Antifa Thugs, I was begining to think of changing parties in kind of a childish vengefulness.

Now I'm re-thinking that.  Maybe I ought to keep my Dem registration... camouflage, self preservation, you know.  Hell, I'm 80 and can't either run or fight anymore...

Police chief is likely appointed by a lefticle mayor, who was elected by leftists.
I doubt a bunch of leftists are going to virtue signal for a cop, more likely, grave dancing.

Yep, most Police Chiefs are political appointees. If you have a hard left mayor you'll more than likely have a hard left PC.

This.  Conservatives have been an endangered species for years in urban areas.  Now it's in the suburbs as well.

I'm tempted to buy a State of Jefferson flag.

What? Hand out 200 backpacks, stop Gangs [sic] cold.

What's not to like?

(Other than the fact the police chief is a raving lunatic, of course.)
