Grrrrr.
I awoke to the discovery that two packages I was waiting for were supposedly delivered on Saturday. I'm still recovering from hip replacement surgery and I took a long nap Saturday afternoon, so it's entirely possible that I might have missed hearing a truck pull into the driveway. So this morning (Sunday) I looked out the front door (which is in a covered recess) -- no packages. Then I looked on the covered breezeway between the house and the garage -- no packages.
It's pouring rain today, so I put on some boots and ventured forth. Sure enough -- the &%$#^$ FedEx driver just dropped the two boxes on the gravel driveway, directly in front of a car where the couldn't be seen from anywhere inside the house. And, since it has been pouring rain all day, both boxes were saturated and beginning to fall apart. Mercifully, none of the contents were affected, but IMHO it's pretty lousy service when a delivery driver can't walk another fifteen feet to put a package in a sheltered location when the forecast clearly calls for rain.
The worst part is that I'm reluctant to complain for fear of retaliation on future deliveries.
