When did this happen? Thermal Red Dot
« on: January 12, 2020, 10:48:23 AM »
I never even knew this thing existed. It seems to have OK reviews for the two I could find. I am hoping this sells well and other manufacturers see fit to jump into the market and improve quality and decrease price. One can hope right?

Very cool.

They seem to have a couple different models.  The $369 you linked seems to be the cheapest with a 9Hz refresh rate.  I'm not sure that's usable for anything other than stationary night hunting.  Also that screen is going to light up your face like it's cool.

Still:  Very Cool

Other than the negative that Dogmush mentioned, I'd totally be down for something like that, especially with my current indoor/outdoor defensive perimeter.

It's actually at an acceptable price point for me, depending on quality.

Especially if you sell me that German K98k.  ;)

Ping me when you get back. I'll likely walk around the April gun show with the Mosins first, since guys here seem to be a little red-necky and into them more than Mausers.

Coincidentally, I got an email from Optics Planet today on Torrey Pines imagers:

The Gun Collective mentions a Sig thermal optic at over 6 minutes in that looks close to the same size.  It appears to be more expensive.
