Could have gone to the boredom thread but it took a predictable detour.
Today I am tackling a stack of vintage cast iron skillets that had been accumulating for years. I have found them at yard sales and estate sales for next to nothing. I have tossed 2 on the scrap pile behind the barn. I am properly cleaning and reseasoning the rest. The propane grill works great for this process so I don’t make a mess in her new fancy oven. My wife has a couple in the kitchen but wants another #3 griswold and maybe another size. My permanent camping chuck box (up to 4 people) will have 2 sizes plus a Dutch oven and I’ll have a small skillet in my soon to be completed solo camp kit.
And I’ll probably have some surplus pieces to sell somewhere somehow. All good vintage high quality American cast. Iron Range Griswold Wagner and at least one Birmingham.
