I'm so contrarian that I didn't respond to the thread.

Conceding land to the Indians was a huge mistake that the US will be paying for for many years.

We white people "invaded" their land, but we won the war.  The land is ours.  There should be no treaty or land giveaways.  Everyone who lives in the landmass area defined as the USA should be part of the same system of government, and live under the same laws.

Ever notice that the hero's of the left nearly always turn out to serious sumbags?
Thugs, child molesters, wife beaters....
Almost enough to make a fellow wonder if we're gonna have to play another round of cowboys and Indians.
The Native population of Oklahoma is a bit under 10%. For a minority of that size they have a very large influence on state and local government.
I have never, NEVER, witnessed discrimination or oppression of "indians" but I have seen "indians" putting it to "the white man" . Identity politics has the potential to *expletive deleted*ck up everything and I think this will cause a hell of a lot more harm than good.
If ye love wealth better than liberty, the tranquility of servitude better than the animating contest of freedom, go home from us in peace. We ask not your counsels or your arms. Crouch down and lick the hands which feed you. May your chains set lightly upon you, and may posterity forget that you were our countrymen.

Samuel Adams
