Ok, a righteously sized chain of "independent" stores.

With centralized branding, ordering, services... Quack, quack....

But...

FREEDOM!

Of course, William Wallace used Duron paints. They had the proper shade of Pict blue.

They aren't Home Depot or Lowes selling cheaply made hardware or crap paint.

I don't know about their paint,  but some of their hardware and tools is absolute crap.

^^^^This gives me something to ponder.  We will probably need to paint in the next couple years.  We have a 2200 square foot rambler, and I will need the 24 foot ladder to reach the high points and there are a lot of high points.  It was originally professional painted with a sprayer.  The siding is horizontal lap fiber cement siding, so I wonder how easy it would be to do this with a roller.  I am 60 years old now with a bad hip, so I am now thinking perhaps we should hire it out.  Plus, when the weather is good for five months of the year here in Seattle, I am already busy on good weather weekends with the yard, etc.

We're going to start painting our horizontal lap hardi-plank today. My buddy said he had luck with one person rolling on fast and sloppy, then another following immediately behind with a wide brush to clean it up. I think that is going to be our initial approach. We'll see how it goes. House is small, only about 1000 square feet of exterior wall.

Last time I had to paint an exterior I hired it out. If this house was much bigger I'd use that method again.
