Yep, couldn't make it past a minute because of how bad that was.

Rather funny how they're talking about how the 80s were all about "LOW FAT" while ignoring how that perfectly coincides with the increase in fat people. (Because cutting out fat and salt and replacing it with sugar and carbs turns out to be a BAD IDEA.)

Bacon is awesome. Marketing can't make people want what (food, at least) they don't like, it can only make people aware of things they were not previously aware of.

Do you know how many beer commercials I've seen? Sure makes it look awesome. It all still tastes like swill.

Do you know how many coffee commercials I've seen? Sure makes it look great. It still tastes like crap.

To claim that "BACON IS AWESOME!!!" is all a successful marketing campaign is rather stupid. People have to actually LIKE it for it to work.

This is one of those hipster, "Well, ACTUALLY..." stupid videos.
I wish the Ring had never come to me. I wish none of this had happened.

So do all who live to see such times. But that is not for them to decide. All we have to decide is what to do with the time that is given to us. There are other forces at work in this world, Frodo, besides the will of evil. Bilbo was meant to find the Ring. In which case, you also were meant to have it. And that is an encouraging thought

I've been eating bacon all my life. I've eaten all sorts of things all my life. Who's to say that carrots or spinach or green beans won't give you cancer, heart disease, obesity, diabetes, rickets, the Covid, ADHD, or a fetish for AOC's rantings?

Aside from a genetic propensity for heart disease and peripheral artery disease, I've had a steady diet of all the above and more! I'm here to say I doubt bacon or any other fatty food will outright kill you. I'm 74 years old and from what that video purported, i should have died about 44 years ago. (How come people who have had pig valves installed in their hearts don't die because of it? Pigs save lives!)

I may croak tomorrow, but it won't be because of eating bacon.

Manga! Enjoy!

Adam does have some pretty stupid videos.  His one on the second amendment is full of absurdities.

Adam does have some pretty stupid videos.

And only 10% of that is the haircut, shrill voice, and HYPER-OVER-ANIMATED 21ST-CENTURY PRESENTER delivery.

Y' gotta stress your system every once in a while.  But not by watching stuff like that.  Couldn't load it.  According to the above remarks, "thank goodness."

I wonder how many zoomers will leave that video thinking bacon was invented in the '90s?

No one ever ate bacon until the 80's.  It certainly couldn't be because people have been raising hogs and eating pork for centuries and more.

Is there anyone who likes bacon because someone told them to?  It wouldn't be because it tastes good maybe?

I had to check out a few of the comments.  One guy criticized the video and several people responded with "but the bad advertising is the point he is trying to make".  Well, it is a bad point to make.  It is most certainly a bad point to make when any normal person ought to realize that just about every product sold had tons of sensational and sometimes misleading advertsiing made about it.  Bacon as a product is not unique in that.

Also, Adam claimed that bacon causes cancer.  (along with everything else).

Adding to the first point:  Adam does the exact same thing he is complaining about in the video.  He sensationalizes his comments out of proportion and often includes misleading information to make you agree with him.

Are they the product or is the product the legal loopholes and influence?  I think they are the salesmen.  Kind of fits with the campaigning part.
